Dustin Stoltzfus questioned love for MMA before he snapped skid at UFC on ABC 3

ELMONT, N.Y. – Dustin Stoltzfus said he was rethinking his love for MMA not long before he got a much-needed win Saturday.

Stoltzfus (14-4 MMA, 1-3 UFC) outworked Dwight Grant (11-6 MMA, 3-5 UFC) for a unanimous decision upset on the preliminary card at UFC on ABC 3 in Elmont, N.Y. The win snapped a three-fight skid of losses to Kyle Daukaus, Rodolfo Vieira and Gerald Meerschaert – tough opponents to be sure.

But Stoltzfus said the slide in his first three UFC fights after winning his way in through Dana White’s Contender Series was messing with him mentally.

“I have not had that much fun in a fight since 2018, so it’s been a while,” Stoltzfus told MMA Junkie at his post-fight news conference. “I was really second-guessing my love for the sport coming into this one, and I found that again. I had a great time.”
