Lomachenko Vs. Kambosos Start Time, Fight Card Details

The timeless skills of Vasyl Lomachenko will be on display yet again later tonight (Sat., May 11, 2024) LIVE on ESPN/ESPN+ from inside RAC Arena in Perth, Australia, as the boxing great meets former WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and The Ring lightweight champion George Kambosos Jr. in the main event. The two will battle it out for the vacant IBF lightweight title.

This is an important fight for both boxers. Lomachenko, who was once considered one of the very best pound-for-pound fighters in the sport, is coming off a decision loss to Devin Haney back in May 2023. Haney is as good as they come, but that fight was just under a year ago and Lomachenko just turned 36 this past February. He isn’t getting any younger and needs to proves he’s still a top dawg.

Kambosos, who is six years younger, is in a similar boat. After losing back-to-back fights to Haney in 2022 the former lightweight champion rebounded with a nice decision win over Maxi Hughes to claim the IBO lightweight belt. Hughes is a solid fighter, but nothing like Lomachenko. Kambosos will still need to prove he belongs among the top lightweights in the world.

There will be a lot going on Saturday night with UFC St. Louis and BKFC 61 also scheduled to take place, but many eyes will be on the boxing main event between Lomachenko and Kambosos. Check out below for all the viewing details and official start time:
