Former UFC lightweight champion and UFC hall of famer, Khabib Nurmagomedov, was recently slapped with a hefty tax bill, which may or may not have been paid.

Russian news outlets claim “The Eagle” owes more than $3 million; however, Nurmagomedov’s handlers later told TASS.ru “the information about tax debt is inaccurate” and that Khabib remains in good standing with the government.

That didn’t stop longtime rival, Conor McGregor, from getting his shots in (read them here).

“You keep talking about Khabib, you forgot what happened to you and your team,” manager Ali Abdelaziz wrote on social media. “Be careful what do you wish for because none of you guys are safe if you keep talking.”

McGregor was submitted by Nurmagomedov in the UFC 229 main event back in late 2018, the promotion’s highest grossing pay-per-view (PPV) of all time. Following the bout, Team Eagle launched a retaliatory attack on Team McGregor.

Blame this combat sports barnacle for setting the arena ablaze.

The chance of Nurmagomedov coming back to UFC to help pay his taxes is currently idling on the corner of Slim & None. Nevertheless, expect the bus-breaking McGregor to maintain his “Eagle” obsession, which even keeps him preoccupied on Christmas.

Hopefully “Notorious” can shift his attention to Michael Chandler at UFC 303.
