‘Big Bang’ Zhang Battles ‘Bronze Bomber’ This Weekend In Riyadh!

It’s another round of blockbuster boxing bouts this weekend in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as the best of Queensberry goes head-to-head against the best of Matchroom, topped by the heavyweight showdown between Zhilei Zhang and Deontay Wilder.

The action gets underway this Sat. (June 1, 2024) at 2 p.m. ET, live on DAZN pay-per-view (PPV) in the United States. The event costs $69.99, which mirrors the price of Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk “Ring of Fire” spectacle from earlier this month.

“I’m looking forward to the fight, I respect Zhang,” Wilder said at the Queensberry vs. Matchroom 5v5 kickoff press conference. “He is a good fighter but it’s my time. I’ve been through a lot and I’ve had to regroup. I am quoting this fight as my last dance, my last chance. That’s what I am taking it accordingly as. I am ready to do what I am known to do. Be the Wilder I am. I lost my love for this business and I lost my hunger for so many different reasons. But now I am dealing with people who love the craziness and the wildness of Wilder.”

“They love the Wilder that says he wants a body on his record,” Wilder continued. “It’s amazing being around people who appreciate you. A lot of people don’t understand what we do and what we have to do to get to this point. Boxing has always been a business not a sport for me. We risk our lives for your guys’ entertainment. I’m not playing around this time. I have nothing to lose. I feel like I’ve lost so much already. I only have things to gain and this fight is going to tell. This fight we are going to see.”
