Fans had to act fast and click faster to grab tickets to Conor McGregor’s press conference at the 3Arena, which disappeared in five minutes.

Tickets for a UFC 303 press conference at the 3Arena in Dublin on Monday June 3rd were made available to the public at 10 A.M. local time.

By 10:05, every single ticket was gone.

That’s not too much of a surprise given the tickets were free, and there were ‘only’ 8000 of them. But it’s a good sign that Conor McGregor’s comeback is hotly anticipated, even in his home country where the press paints him as an irresponsible jackass who drives dangerously and punches old men.

For those that missed out on this five minute window to snatch up two tickets each, there are scalpers on X (formerly Twitter) attempting to re-sell them for upwards of $1100 a piece. That’s not too surprising given the price point the UFC set on tickets to McGregor vs. Chandler at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Tickets for UFC 303 start at $1500 each plus fees and go up to $14,500 if you want to sit on the floor near the cage. UFC CEO Dana White announced that the event was already guaranteed to break the $20 million mark on gate alone, and fans are finally starting to grumble about those numbers because a lot of them have been completely priced out of attending.

“Oh, it’s a lovely feather to have in the cap, yeah,” McGregor said to The Mac Life about the gate record. “Our first time we’ve ever cleared past the $20 million gate. Very happy with that. How do I feel? It’s inflation here. The price, you take it, man. So I don’t know how I feel about it in a way also. It just is what it is.”

“Who can make it through and who are in a position to get their tickets, congratulations to those who are aspiring to get one, and I wish them well. You know, it’s big business. So I’m excited to be a part of it for sure.”

Free press conference tickets in his home town were a nice gesture from the UFC and McGregor, and congratulations to those who aspired to go with the more affordable option.
