UFC Louisville went down last night (Sat., June 8, 2024), featuring a Middleweight bout that say Nassourdine Imavov scores a fourth-round technical knockout (TKO) win over Jared Cannonier, which is the biggest win of his career, albeit controversial (see it again here). In the co-main event, Dominick Reyes returned to his head-hunting ways by defeating Dustin Jacoby via strikes in the very first round.

Biggest Winner: Dominick Reyes

It had been five years that Reyes had his hand raised in victory, but he managed to snap his win-less drought by knocking Dustin Jacoby in the very first round. snapping his four fight losing streak in the process. It was a much-needed win for “The Devestator,” who would’ve likely been facing his walking papers with another loss. Instead. the former title challenger gets some newfound confidence and momentum with the win.

Runner Up: Raul Rosas Jr.

Rosas Jr. improved to 3-1 under the UFC banner thanks to a massive win he collected over Ricky Turcios, submitting him via rear-naked choke. A lot of people look at how a fighter reacts off a loss, and Rosas. Jr has passed with flying colors since losing the first fight of his MMA career with back-to-back stoppage wins. Since it’s no secret UFC has its eyes set to Rosas Jr. as a potential big star, he is doing his part by packing on the wins and showing that the hype is justified. To sweeten the pot, he is $50,000 richer thanks to his post-fight bonus victory.

Biggest Loser: Julian Marquez

Things went from bad to worse for Marquez. who suffered his third straight defeat, this time losing to Zachary Reese via first round knockout. In fact, it only took Reese 20 seconds to get the job done. For those keeping home at score, Marquez has been stopped in his last three fights inside the Octagon, which could very well put him on thin ice with his spot on the rankings moving forward.
