Silva’s last fight in Brazil against Chael Sonnen will be seen live by a very small group of very important people.

Anderson Silva is set to have his final fight in Brazil this Saturday June 15th, but you’ll have to be a very important person to see it live.

Spaten Fight Night is holding an exhibition boxing match between Silva and his longtime MMA rival Chael Sonnen in Sao Paulo, Brazil. But rather than holding it in a soccer stadium or concert arena, the event will be held in a small venue accessible to a just small number of VIPs.

International “Spider” and Sonnen fans are also left out in the cold — the card will not be made available for broadcast outside of Brazil.

Silva discussed the restrictions during an appearance on The MMA Hour.

“I’m so happy but a little sad because this event is very closed, it’s not for everybody,” he said. “I’m excited, but a lot of fans called me and talked to me and sent messages, ‘Why don’t you for everybody? Open for the public.’ I said, ‘I’m sorry, guys, I don’t have control over that situation.’ I think the whole team are working hard to make it a good show.”

“It’s very, very restricted people, only VIP people. I’m so happy. I’m so excited because I love fighting. I have the opportunity to fight again with Chael, to give a good show, this big gift to my fans in Brazil, and that’s my last fight in Brazil … It’s a very private event. I don’t know why but I’m so happy.”

This definitely isn’t the last time we’ll see Anderson Silva compete. According to “The Spider,” he’s already in negotiations with for his next fight which could take place in Saudi Arabia against “a good challenge for me.”
