Davis vs. Garcia 2?

Gervonta Davis scored another huge win last night (Sat., June 15, 2024) when he brutally knocked out Frank Martin in the eighth round from inside the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada (watch highlights).

Minutes after the violent knockout, Davis’ former opponent Ryan Garcia came to the boxing ring to congratulate “Tank” and show him his custom shirt that read “Tank’s #1 Fan, Rematch Me B—tch.”

Davis was asked about his quick conversation with Garcia during the post-fight press conference.

“He’s crazy. I don’t know, he’s crazy,” Davis told reporters. “He was talking about a rematch. I said I was the best at 135 [lbs] and 142. He said that. He said he wants to fight me again. I’ll kick his ass again.”

Davis knocked Garcia out with a vicious body shot last year (watch it) in their epic showdown that raked in 1.2 million pay-per-view (PPV) buys. However, the fight came with controversy regarding the contracted weight and 10-pound rehydration clause.

While in April Garcia said he wouldn’t be able to rematch Davis, it seems like he has changed his tune, as he should because it is probably one of the biggest boxing rematches that can be made right now … that is, until Garcia figures out what is going to happen with his career due to his failed drug test.
