If you say “Needle Juice” three times, George Piro appears and asks for a urine sample.

Former PFL fighter, Joilton Lutterbach, was using performance-enhancing drugs before getting the call to compete against Shara Magomedov as part of the upcoming UFC Saudi Arabia fight card on Sat. (June 22) inside Kingdom Arena in Riyadh.

By the time Lutterbach signed with the promotion, he had already been off the juice for several weeks; however, a pre-fight drug test returned positive for banned substances and the 31 year-old “Peregrino” was pulled from the ABC lineup.

“Thank you for all the messages of affection during this difficult time,” Lutterbach wrote on social media. “I actually used juice three months ago and had no idea that I would sign with the UFC. I could have hidden in the mountains or gone to Thailand to hide as many do and are not tested, but I preferred to take the risk and believe I was clean and fit to fight.”

“I signed the contract three weeks ago and so I figured I was in the clear,” Lutterbach continued. “My case will be analyzed by Combat Sport anti-doping and Sub Zero will certainly be frozen for a few months without fighting or freezing anyone. I would like to say sorry to UFC and to my opponent Shara. I will be frozen and not dead. I will be back soon!”

Replacing Lutterbach will be Dana White’s “Contender Series” standout Antonio Trocoli, who was expected to compete at UFC Vegas 93 last weekend in “Sin City” until matchmakers tinkered with the lineup to help save this middleweight fight.
