Video! Pereira, Prochazka Share One Final Stoic Staredown

It all goes down tomorrow night (Sat., June 29, 2024) as UFC 303 gets underway LIVE on ESPN+ PPV from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, but first fight fans witnessed the ceremonial weigh ins play out on Friday.

While UFC 303 was originally expected to feature the return of Conor McGregor, the promotion has put together a solid card in light of an injury to “Notorious.” This includes a fascinating main event rematch between UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira and former titleholder Jiri Prochazka. The two were expected to collide later this summer, but they will now step up on two weeks notice to settle their score.

Luckily, the action doesn’t stop there. UFC matchmakers pulled another rabbit out of their hat and booked a featherweight scrap between Brian Ortega and red-hot contender Diego Lopes for the co-main event. Ortega, who was lining up to compete as a lightweight at the upcoming Noche UFC event at the Las Vegas Sphere, couldn’t make weight so the bout will now be contested at 155 pounds.

In advance to Saturday’s International Fight Week event, UFC 303 participants stepped on stage for ceremonial weigh ins on Friday. This included a collection of final staredowns between some of the biggest names on the card. Check them out below:
