Till Books Surprise Return This Weekend In Dubai

Two men enter, one can leaves.

“Everyone and anyone,” former UFC welterweight title challenger, Darren Till, said in the video teaser for his comeback fight. “I don’t care!”

I thought that was just one of those things fighters shout when they’re hungry for a fight but I guess Till really will fight anyone and truly doesn’t care, which may explain why he’s making a hasty return against the unheralded Mohammad Mutie as part of the Social Knockout 3 event this Sat. (July 6) in Dubai.

I must have missed the first two Social Knockout events but a quick Google search tells me they were headlined by “MoneyKicks,” which tells you everything you need to know about this weekend’s boxing card at Coca-Cola Arena.

With special guest Stefflon Don!

Till was originally booked to fight Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. as part of the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson card on July 20; however, that event was postponed and “The Gorilla” later withdrew from the lineup. Cesar Chavez Jr. will instead fight former UFC middleweight contender and “Ultimate Fighter” veteran Uriah Hall.

Mutie is coming off a split draw opposite Mohamed Eldeeb at MEFC 4 back in May.

As for Till, 31, he’s been inactive since losing to Dricus Du Plessis at UFC 282, his third straight loss and final appearance inside the Octagon. In the months that followed, “The Gorilla” teased several new fights, none of which have materialized.

Including this “desperate” callout.
