Conor McGregor hints at BKFC move in latest social media post

Once his days in the UFC come to an end, Conor McGregor may have just signaled his intent at switching over to the BKFC.

Being forced to sit on the sidelines, McGregor has made his frustration with his situation public. The Irishman is desperate to return to action — likely against Michael Chandler — but it seems he won’t get his comeback fight this year.

Conor McGregor is unhappy with his inactivity in the sport and looked to have fired shots at the UFC in his latest social media post. McGregor shared a video with the caption ‘#FreeTheMac’, potentially pushing for his employers to either schedule him a fight or release him from his contract.

That wasn’t the only hint that the Notorious left in the post. The video shows the global star working the heavy bag, doing so without any gloves or hand wraps.

Speculation began to mount and many believe McGregor is interested in jumping ship and competing inside the BKFC ring — an organization he now owns a stake in.

This isn’t the first time Conor McGregor has stated his interest in bare-knuckle boxing. During a press conference for BKFC’s inaugural event in Marbella, Spain, McGregor revealed that he’d love to compete for the promotion one day.

Before he can venture into new areas of combat sports, McGregor must first complete the remaining two fights on his UFC contract.

Alongside Michael Chandler, several names have been floating around for the 36-year-old’s next two outings.

A potential trilogy with Nate Diaz seems to be the most popular among fans, but one surprise contender threw his name into the hat to face Conor McGregor.

Following his impressive win at UFC 305, Dan Hooker called for his shot at the returning legend, though no further information has released on McGregor’s return date.
