Highlights! Taylor Smokes Silva’s Son With Nasty TKO

Anthony Taylor did not disappoint in his main card matchup against Gabriel Silva earlier today (Sat., Aug. 31, 2024) at Misfits Boxing 17 live on DAZN pay-per-view (PPV) from inside 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland, stopping the son of Anderson Silva with a devastating third-round TKO.

This matchup came together after KSI withdrew from his 2 vs. 1 main event matchup involving Taylor. The promotion brought in Silva to add a little star power to the card and give Taylor a real run for his money. Taylor certainly has more combat experience, but Silva is younger, taller, and the son of one of the greatest combat fighters ever.

Add in a pre-fight brawl and this main card matchup had all the fixings.

Unfortunately for Silva, Taylor’s experience, offensive persistence, and sheer output were too much to handle. Taylor was able to close the distance on the larger Silva in the third round and landed a massive right hand to score a huge knockdown. Silva would get back to his feet, but Taylor moved in for the final touches.

It was quite the performance from the combat veteran, who called out Darren Till and Floyd Mayweather Jr. after his victory. Check out the action below:
