BKFC fighter snaps ankle in grisly injury and resets it himself during fight

True fighter’s are a different breed of human beings, and that is exactly the case for BKFC athlete Trevor Bozniak.

The gritty 47-year-old collided with the much younger Kayden Giroux on the BKFC Prospect Series last time out. ‘The Beast’ came up short against his fellow Canadian, but is was what happened leading to the result that caught the fans attention.

In a strange turn of events, as he was dropped with a well-timed right hand, Trevor Bozniak fell awkwardly, dislocating his ankle.

Instead of alerting the officials, the true fighter snapped his injury back into place before rising to his feet. Though referee Dan Miragliotta called a stop to proceedings, Bozniak was still trying to force his way back into the bout.

Co-operating with the doctor, Bozniak began walking on his damaged foot, hoping to find a way back into the fight. Despite his efforts, the fight was brought to an end and Kayden Giroux was handed the victory.

The event — which was held in River Cree Resort & Casino in Alberta, Canada — was headlined by hometown favorite Drew Stuve taking on the Brit Sonny Smith.

In a masterclass performance, Stuve scored a devastating knockout moments after scoring a knockdown in the second round.
