Jessica Andrade wants to avenge her UFC 211 loss to Joanna Jedrzejczyk.

Unfortunately for the Brazilian, Jedrzejczyk retired from active competition back in June 2022, following a crushing knockout loss to current strawweight champion Zhang Weili. But there is one condition that could lure the Polish trailblazer back to the cage.

“I’ve been talking to Joanna and she said she’d come back. If it’s for this [BMF] belt, she would come back,” Andrade told MMA Fighting. “I think that would be a good fight. Joanna, or maybe Angela Hill, who never walks away from a fight and is always there fighting everyone. Or Valentina [Shevchenko]. Any of those girls would be great, but I think it would be special if it’s Joanna. It would be better.”

In order for Andrade to qualify for a potential “BMF” fight she will first need to dispose of red-hot Brazilian bruiser Natalia Silva in the UFC Vegas 97 co-main event, locked and loaded for this Sat. night (Sept. 7, 2024) at APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“[Jedrzejczyk] said she would fight at 125, not at 115, and that would be even better for me because I feel great in this division as well,” Andrade continued. “I wouldn’t be too affected by the weight loss or any of that. I think we would put on a show and do an incredible fight, and I would get that one back.”

UFC has yet to create a “BMF” belt for the women’s divisions.
