Dhiego Lima sees no way around ‘a war’ with Matt Brown at UFC on ESPN 25

LAS VEGAS – Dhiego Lima predicts a violent fight with Matt Brown on Saturday at UFC on ESPN 25.

When speaking to reporters at Wednesday’s media day ahead of his welterweight clash with Brown (22-18 MMA, 15-12 UFC) at the UFC Apex, Lima (15-8 MMA, 4-6 UFC) admitted he’s fully aware what he’s getting himself into. “The Immortal” has a record 13 finishes in the 170-pound division, which means a lot of action and damage in his fights.

Lima is all about that, he said, and is confident he’s going to come out of those exchanges inflicting more punishment, which in his estimation will lead to the victory.

“It’s just going to be a war,” Lima told MMA Junkie. “I’m ready for everything. I’m always looking for a finish. So if I land something, I’m going to look for the finish. If I can get a take down, go to the ground, I might feel my jiu-jitsu is better. But you know, I’m ready for a banger.”

UFC on ESPN 25 airs on ESPN2 and streams on ESPN+. The bout between Lima and Brown opens the main card.
