UFC Fight Night 219 video: Clayton Carpenter slickly taps Juancamilo Ronderos in debut
Clayton Carpenter is one-for-one in the UFC.
Saturday at UFC Fight Night 219, Carpenter (7-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) showed off his slick grappling skills when he submitted Juancamilo Ronderos (4-2 MMA, 0-2 UFC) by rear-naked choke at the 3:13 mark of Round 1. The event took place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
Carpenter, 26, was taken down early by Ronderos. He utilized a triangle choke attempt from the bottom to obtain top position. Eventually, Carpenter shifted to the back, locked in a choke and got the tap for his first UFC victory in as many attempts.
