UFC free fight: Jairzinho Rozenstruik rebounds with knockout of Junior Dos Santos

Jairzinho Rozenstruik continued to show off his fight-ending abilities in his most recent outing.

Looking to rebound from his first career loss to Francis Ngannou at UFC 249, Rozenstruik faced former heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos at UFC 252 in December.

With all but one of his pro wins coming by knockout, it’s no secret what Rozenstruik set out to do. He chopped away at Dos Santos’ lead leg early, perfectly timing some sharp counters every time Dos Santos aggressively entered.

In Round 2, Rozenstruik started leading with the attack a little more, pressuring Dos Santos against the fence. With Dos Santos backing up, Rozenstruik landed a left lead uppercut, followed by a right hand that dropped the Brazilian. He followed it up with some big ground and pound until the referee decided he had seen enough.

Rozenstruik (11-1 MMA, 5-1 UFC) returns to action Saturday when he faces Ciryl Gane (7-0 MMA, 4-0 UFC) in the UFC Fight Night 186 main event at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

Before he faces Gane, relive Rozenstruik’s finish of Dos Santos in the video above.
