‘Thunder Rosa’ Gets ‘Too Much’ For Combate Americas Debut On Nov. 8

Cervantes joins an impressive women’s roster that already includes boxing deity Amanda “Real Deal” Serrano.

Professional wrestling icon, Melissa “Thunder Rosa” Cervantes, will make her mixed martial arts (MMA) debut for Combate Americas on Fri., Nov. 8, 2019, inside Freeman Coliseum in San Antonio, Texas, taking on Belgian bruiser Nadine “Too Much” Mandiau.

The event airs live on Univision and TUDN in the United States and in Mexico on Televisa Canal 5 and TUDN Mexico.

Cervantes, 28, is perhaps best known to stateside fans as Kobra Moon for Lucha Underground, before migrating to Ring of Honor (ROH) and Women of Wrestling (WoW). The Mexican-born grappler currently trains at Brazilian Top Team in San Antonio.

As for Mandiau (0-1), she’ll look to rebound from her debut loss at Legacy Fighting Alliance (LFA) back in January. “Too Much” racked up an impressive 4-1 record on the amateur circuit with three finishes.

Combate Americas is no stranger to Freeman Coliseum, home for its “Queen Warriors” event back in Dec. 2017, featuring Kyra Batara’s unanimous decision win over hometown hero, Paulina Granados, in the three-round main event.
