Saad Awad replaces injured Sabah Homasi at Bellator 232, meets Paul Daley on 5 days’ notice

Bellator 232 has another last-minute change to its main card.

On Monday, promotion president Scott Coker announced on Twitter that Sabah Homasi has been injured and forced to withdraw from his welterweight bout with Paul Daley on Saturday. In Homasi’s place, Saad Awad will fight Daley at a 175-pound catchweight.

Bellator 232 takes place Saturday as part of a weekend doubleheader at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., with a main card that streams on DAZN following prelims on MMA Junkie.

Awad (23-12 MMA, 11-8 BMMA) will make a quick turnaround after losing by submission to Goiti Yamauchi earlier this month at Bellator 229. It was Awad’s third straight defeat.

Daley (41-17-2 MMA, 7-4 BMMA) enters the bout coming off a victory over Erick Silva at Bellator 223 in June.

The latest Bellator 232 lineup now includes:
