Nate Diaz recently dropped a bombshell by revealing that he would not be fighting at the upcoming UFC 244 pay-per-view (PPV) event on Nov. 2, 2019 against Jorge Masvidal after he was notified of failing a drug test.
Naturally, “Gamebred” was quick to take to social media to offer up his response to the unfortunate news. And he didn’t do it to talk trash, he instead offered his support to the Stockton slugger.
You not the baddest mofo in the game (i am) but you are one of the cleanest mofo’s @NateDiaz209 I’ll see you nov 2. I know your name is clean. I don’t need @usantidoping to tell me shit!

“You not the baddest mofo in the game (i am) but you are one of the cleanest mofo’s @NateDiaz209 I’ll see you nov 2. I know your name is clean,” wrote Jorge on twitter. “I don’t need @usantidoping to tell me shit!”
But Jorge wasn’t the only one who took to social media to offer up a reaction. Take a look at what many in the MMA community had to say.
And just like that, years of hard work discredited overnight, with one phone call. https://t.co/dyCAivteLU

Nate Diaz story is as fluid as it gets. A lot of people caught off guard by it. Not many answers right now, including the ultimate status of the fight itself, but it’s not a prank. That said, it is not accurate to say the fight is canceled as of right now. Developing.

FAKE NEWS. Quit trying to fight journeymen Marty. Let Masvidal fight another .500 fighter or Leon Scott. You got a date with daddy December 14th. And we’re not talking about the one in Federal Penitentiary. https://t.co/wO9ssn3NGY

And of course, Conor McGregor had to chime in with a subtle jab at Team Skrap Pack’s past failed drug tests. The tweet has since been deleted.
Of course, Diaz denied any wrong doing, but did reveal that was informed to stay quiet about the ordeal. But whoever “they” are, obviously didn’t take into consideration that Diaz does pretty much whatever he wants, and decided to reveal the news before anyone else.
As of this writing, UFC has yet to make an official announcement regarding Nate’s involvement — or lack thereof — with UFC 244. Diaz did not go into further detail regarding what type of banned substance was at the root of the problem, but did mention tainted supplements.
If Nate truly is out of UFC 244, the promotion will now have to scramble to find a suitable replacement to face Masvidal, or bump Kelvin Gastelum and Darren Till to headline the event inside Madison Square Garden In New York City.
