Four more fights added to London card as Cage Warriors 111 takes shape

British promotion Cage Warriors has confirmed a further four fights for their return to London on Nov. 22.

Cage Warriors 111 returns to its regular London home of indigo at The O2 with a stacked card featuring a title-fight triple-header, with reigning champions James Webb, Mads Burnell and Modestas Bukauskas set to put their middleweight, featherweight and light heavyweight titles on the line respectively. The bout also marks the return of the former Cage Warriors featherweight champion and fan-favorite Paddy Pimblett.

Four more bouts have since been added to the lineup, with welterweight contender Alex Lohore (18-4) set to take on former “The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil” competitor Joilton Santos (30-8).

England-based Frenchman Lohore is a former BAMMA welterweight champion who has picked up three wins from his four appearances as a Cage Warriors athlete to date. Most recently, he submitted Welsh contender Aaron Khalid at Cage Warriors 106.

Germany-based Brazilian Santos, meanwhile, arrives for his second bout under the Cage Warriors banner having defeated Craig White via unanimous decision at Cage Warriors 102 in March. “Peregrino” has competed twice more since then, picking up a victory for regional Russian promotion RCC, then dropping to a second-round stoppage defeat to former KSW welterweight champion Dricus Du Plessis at KSW 50 in London in September.

Also added to the Cage Warriors 111 card in London is a flyweight matchup between rising star Adam Amarasinghe (4-1) and Johan Segas (3-0), while featherweights Emrah Sonmez (10-2) and Daryl Golding (7-1) go head to head. Those fights are joined by another featherweight matchup, as London’s James Hendin (3-0) lines up against fellow undefeated talent Jordan Barton (5-0-1).

The event will be headlined by three title fights, with the eagerly-anticipated rematch between middleweight champion Webb and challenger Nathias Frederick set as the main event.

Webb and Frederick faced off at “Cage Warriors 106: Night of Champions” in June and fought to a controversial majority draw after Frederick was penalized a point for spiking Webb during the matchup.

That deduction effectively deprived the Renegade MMA man the Cage Warriors title, while Webb was left dumbfounded at the scoring that effectively gave his opponent the win prior to the point deduction.

Now the two middleweights will face off for a second time looking to leave no doubt and walk away the middleweight champion.
