About last night: When Darren Till realizes he just called out Yoel Romero
There’s nobody who’s more honest than Darren Till, and that’s why he’s loved by fans.
Till, who got back in the win column by narrowly edging former interim middleweight title challenger Kelvin Gastelum at UFC 244, suddenly finds himself in 185-pound contention after just his divisional debut fight.
And Till, who was coming off back-to-back stoppage losses at welterweight, admitted that he faced some pre-fight nerves and even considered faking an injury to get out of the fight.
But following his win over Gastelum, the young, confident scouser has started to return to original form, saying he’s confident he can beat any middleweight in the world.
Until the name Yoel Romero gets brought up.
Till joked that he wanted no part of Romero, calling him a beast. But on Thursday night, much to everyone’s surprise, he changed his tune with an Instagram post that called him out.

But it didn’t take long for Till to realize that he may have just made a drunken mistake.
