The UFC made its third stop in Russia on Saturday with UFC on ESPN+ 21, which took place at CSKA Arena in Moscow with a 13-fight card that streamed entirely on ESPN+.

A new featherweight contender emerged from the main event when Zabit Magomedsharipov (18-1 MMA, 6-0 UFC) extended his winning streak with a clear unanimous decision over Calvin Kattar (20-4 MMA, 4-2 UFC) that was followed by a call to fight for the 145-pound title.

The UFC Promotional Guidelines Compliance payout for the event totaled $132,500.

Debuting fighters went 1-2 at the event.

Magomedsharipov, Kattar, Magomed Ankalaev and David Zawada earned $50,000 UFC on ESPN+ 21 fight-night bonuses.

UFC on ESPN+ 21 drew an announced attendance of 11,305. No live gate was revealed.

Betting favorites went 7-6 on the card.

Betting favorites improved to 19-17 (one fight had even odds, one ended in a no contest) in UFC headliners this year.

Total fight time for the 13-bout card was 2:52:14.

Main card

Magomedsharipov extended his winning streak to 14 fights. He hasn’t suffered a defeat since April 2013.

Magomedsharipov’s six-fight UFC winning streak in featherweight competition is tied with Arnold Allen for the second longest active streak in the division behind Max Holloway (13).

Magomedsharipov has landed at least one takedown against all six of his UFC opponent.

Magomedsharipov has landed 27 takedowns in his six UFC appearances.

Kattar has suffered both of his UFC losses by decision.

Alexander Volkov (31-7 MMA, 5-1 UFC) improved to 7-1 since his final Bellator bout in June 2015.

Greg Hardy (5-2 MMA, 2-2 UFC) suffered the first decision loss of his career.

Zelim Imadaev (8-2 MMA, 0-2 UFC) has suffered consecutive losses after starting his career 8-0.

Imadaev suffered the first knockout loss of his career.

Ed Herman (25-14 MMA, 12-10 UFC) improved to 3-3 since he returned to the light heavyweight division in January 2016.

Herman earned consecutive victories for the first time since August 2011.

Khadis Ibragimov (8-2 MMA, 0-2 UFC) has suffered consecutive losses after starting his career 8-0.

Ibragimov suffered the first decision loss of his career.

Anthony Rocco Martin (17-5 MMA, 9-5 UFC) improved to 5-1 since he returned to welterweight in April 2018. He’s 8-1 in the weight class overall.

Ramazan Emeev (18-4 MMA, 3-1 UFC) fell to 2-1 since he dropped to the UFC welterweight division in May 2018.

Emeev suffered his first decision loss since Oct. 22, 2010 – a span of 3,305 days (more than nine years) and 17 fights.

Preliminary card

Ankalaev’s (12-1 MMA, 3-1 UFC) three-fight UFC winning streak at light heavyweight is tied for the fourth longest active streak in the division behind Dominick Reyes (six), Aleksander Rakic (four) and Corey Anderson (four).

Dalcha Lungiambula (10-2 MMA, 1-1 UFC) has suffered both of his career losses by stoppage.

Lungiambula suffered the first knockout loss of his career.

Rustam Khabilov (24-4 MMA, 10-3 UFC) was successful in his welterweight debut.

Khabilov has completed at least one takedown in 12 of his 13 UFC appearances.

Khabilov has earned eight of his 10 UFC victories by decision.

Roman Kopylov (8-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) had his eight-fight winning streak snapped for the first defeat of his career.

Zawada (17-5 MMA, 1-2 UFC) has earned 15 of his 17 career victories by stoppage.
