Colby Covington will look to taste Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) gold for the second time this Saturday night (Dec. 14, 2019) when he faces off against current Welterweight champion, Kamaru Usman, in the main event of UFC 245 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Before that, let’s take a look back at the night “Chaos” had UFC gold wrapped around his waste for the first time, albeit on an interim basis.

In the end, “Chaos” scored a clear-cut unanimous decision win, which not only earned him the interim title, but a title fight against then-champion Tyron Woodley. Unfortunately, that bout never came to be, and Kamaru Usman eventually went on to defeat “The Chosen One” while Colby battled it out with Dana White and Co.

Now, Covington will look to reach the top of the sport once and for all as he attempts to dethrone “The Nigerian Nightmare” from the top of the Welterweight mountain. He’s talked a good game so far, now it’s time to put up.
