Bellator 236 weigh-in results: Ilima-Lei Macfarlane, Kate Jackson hit marks for Hawaii title fight

HONOLULU – MMA Junkie was on scene and reporting live from Friday’s early and official Bellator 236 fighter weigh-ins, where the fighters on the main card all hit their marks for Saturday’s event.

Women’s flyweight champion Ilima-Lei Macfarlane (10-0 MMA, 9-0 BMMA) fights in front of her home fans against challenger Kate Jackson (11-3-1 MMA, 3-1 BMMA) in the main event. Macfarlane was first to the scale in the two-hour window and was under the championship limit at 124.8 pounds. Jackson came in slightly lighter at 124.4 to make the fight official.

In the co-feature, Derek Campos (20-9 MMA, 9-7 BMMA) and A.J. McKee (15-0 MMA, 15-0 BMMA) meet in a quarterfinal bout in the ongoing featherweight grand prix. McKee was 144.6 pounds; Campos was under, as well, at 144.9.

On the preliminary card, Swayne Lunasco (0-0 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) was well off the mark for his professional debut at bantamweight. He came in at 142.8 pounds. His opponent, Kaylan Gorospe (0-0 MMA, 0-0 BMMA), who also is making his pro debut, was the last fighter to weigh in during the official window. He was 135.9 pounds.

The early weigh-ins took place at the Bellator host hotel in Honolulu and preceded the ceremonial weigh-ins for the fans, which take place at 4:30 p.m. ET (11:30 a.m. local time) in the Tapa 1 Ballroom at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Honolulu.

Bellator 236 takes place Saturday at Neal S. Blaisdell Center in Honolulu. The main card streams on DAZN following prelims on MMA Junkie.
