Frankie Edgar came up considerably short earlier today (Sat., Dec. 21, 2019) at UFC Fight Night 165 live on ESPN+ from inside Sajik Arena in Busan, South Korea, when he was stopped by featherweight contender Chan Sung Jung via first-round TKO (highlights HERE).

The former UFC lightweight champion had put his bantamweight aspirations aside to step up on short notice for an injured Brian Ortega.

After his disappointing loss to “Korean Zombie,” Edgar took to social media to deliver the following message to his fans.

“Well not what I had planned coming out here to South Korea, but win like a man and lose like one too. Hats off to the @KoreanZombie on a great performance. I think it may be time to cut this damn hair. Thank you to my family, team, and fans for the love and support,” wrote Edgar via Twitter.

Edgar, 38, has now lost three out of his last four Octagon appearances since the beginning of 2018. That includes two knockout defeats and a UFC featherweight title fight loss to Max Hollloway. this past July. Edgar seems to be running out of answers at 145 pounds and would be foolish not to test the bantamweight division before he calls it a career.

What say you, Maniacs? Should Edgar give it one more go, but this time at 135 pounds?
