“Korean Superboy” is super injured.

It’s been a rough couple of years for Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) featherweight Doo Ho Choi, 28, who’s only competed three times over the last three years and came up empty in each appearance.

That includes last weekend’s technical knockout loss to Charles Jourdain at UFC Busan in Choi’s native South Korea. Unfortunately, the second-round finish (highlights) also came with a broken wing, serious enough to require surgery.

Check out his before-and-after pics embedded above.

“Thank you for your support fans, family, friends and team,” Choi wrote. “I am sorry, I think I have to think a lot about the whole thing. First, I need to get surgery and think a lot while I am resting.”

Choi (14-4) was expected to do great things at 145 pounds, much like fellow countryman Chan Sung Jung. Unfortunately, “Korean Superboy” was unable to capitalize on the three-fight winning streak that opened his Octagon career.
