Khalil Rountree is getting out of the hurt business.

The 29 year-old “War Horse” recently told his Instagram followers that his next UFC fight will be his last, though a date and opponent have yet to be revealed. After that … well, that remains to be seen.

“I started this to better myself and my family, and that’s how it’ll end,” he wrote.

Rountree (8-4) was favored to win season 23 of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF); however, it was Andrew Sanchez who went home with the glass trophy after capturing a three-round unanimous decision victory back in summer 2016.

The promotion liked what they saw from Rountree and continued to provide high-profile fights, including his UFC 226 upset over kickboxing legend, Gokhan Saki. Following that career highlight, the light heavyweight bruiser is just 1-2, having dropped both fights by way of first-round knockout.

As of this writing, Rountree remains unranked at 205 pounds.
