Twitter reacts to Cris Cyborg’s title-winning TKO of Julia Budd at Bellator 238

Cris Cyborg became just the second women’s featherweight champion in Bellator history on Saturday when she dethroned Julia Budd of the title in the Bellator 238 headliner.

In her promotional debut, Cyborg (22-2 MMA, 1-0 BMMA) added Bellator’s belt to her collection alongside UFC, Invicta FC and Strikeforce titles. She did it with a fourth-round TKO victory over Budd (13-3 MMA, 7-1 BMMA) in the DAZN-streamed main event, which took place at The Forum in Inglewood, Calif.

Picking Cyborg to dethrone the champion Budd, but this fight is a lot closer than the odds indicate. Budd has always had grinding and grappling chops that could make this fight ugly, but suspect that Cyborg will be the one punctuating exchanges.
