Cris Cyborg got back to her winning ways last Saturday night (Jan. 25, 2020) at Bellator 238 by defeating Julia Budd to win the Featherweight title inside The Forum in Inglewood, California. In doing so, Cris won her fourth title in as many major mixed martial arts (MMA) organizations.

She also banked a cool paycheck of $250,000 for her efforts. But that wasn’t the biggest payout of the event, as Budd collected $350,000 going in as the reigning champion. Here are the entire disclosed payouts, courtesy of MMA Fighting.

Cris Cyborg ($250,000 + no win bonus = $250,000) def. Julia Budd ($350,000)

Darrion Caldwell ($25,000 + no win bonus = $25,000) def. Adam Borics ($28,000)

Juan Archuleta ($50,000 + no win bonus = $50,000) def. Henry Corrales ($38,000)

Miguel Jacob ($1,500 + $1,500 win bonus = $3,000) def. David Pacheco ($1,500)

Interestingly enough, when Cris left UFC last year it was reported that she had inked a record-breaking deal with Bellator. That said, she earned $500,000 for her title fight against Amanda Nunes at UFC 232, which is double her most recent disclosed payout.

According to the promotions president, Scott Coker, since the deal is “incentivized,” her earnings can and will be more.

During a recent interview on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show, Cris revealed that she did not sign for a certain number of fights, but rather inked a two-year deal, which means she can compete as many times possible during that span.
