McGregor Part Of Ridiculous Super Bowl Prop Bet!

Former UFC champion Conor McGregor may not be playing in Super Bowl LIV this weekend in Miami, Fla., but “Notorious” remains part of the festivities nonetheless.

Super Bowl LIV, which will be contested this coming Sunday between the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs, is expected to draw in some of the biggest bets of the year. After all, the Super Bowl is the biggest sporting event around and is watched by millions across the globe.

While fans can bet on the usual things, such as spread, money line, and over/under, the oddsmakers have rolled out something special for Super Bowl LIV. It just so happens that McGregor, who is widely considered one of the most popular athletes in the world today, is part of most ridiculous prop bet of them all.

It comes direct from SportsBetting.ag, which released odds for whether or not 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo rushes for more yards than the total number of rounds in McGregor’s next UFC fight. The odds are as follows:

• Jimmy Garoppolo rushing yards (-200) vs.
• Conor McGregor next fight total rounds (+150)

($100 bet on McGregor would win you $150, while a $200 bet on Garoppolo wins you $100)

At the very most, Garoppolo would have to run for six total yards this weekend against the Chiefs defense to take home this bet. That’s because the most rounds McGregor could possibly compete in his next time out would be five.

Of course, McGregor is known for his quick finishes, evident by his 40-second TKO finish over Donald Cerrone earlier this month at UFC 246. So if “Notorious” were to sleep his next opponent within the first round then Garoppolo would have had to rush for just two yards in Super Bowl LIV.

Seems like easy money, but keep in mind that Garoppolo has rushed for five yards or more only four times this entire season, which includes 16 regular season games and two playoff tilts. You also have to consider that “Jimmy G” was sacked a grand total of 36 times in 2019, meaning he tends to get tackled behind the line of scrimmage rather than shedding tacklers and breaking off a run.

That said, the Chiefs did rank 10th this season in rushing yards allowed to opposing quarterbacks, so maybe Garoppolo can find his lane and punch this bet home early.
