LIVE! UFC 247 PPV Radio-Style Streaming Updates

We’ve purchased the ESPN+ pay-per-view (PPV) and with it our dynamic tag team duo, Matt Ryan and Harry Terjanian, will deliver the best possible ‘radio style’ play-by-play broadcast imaginable throughout UFC 247’s main card, starting at 10 p.m. ET in the video player below!

“Bones” is a once-in-a-generation athlete who prior to his run-in with drugs, alcohol, that pregnant woman, and Pico and the Grams, the “Two-Point Deduction” house band, was at one time considered to be the next face of UFC. Yet much like Trump, the gold-plated veneer began to wash away to show the embattled champion’s flaws, which is bound to happen to a young athlete making a ton of money while ignoring those who would tell him to slow down, stop, or reconsider his actions. Jones has been pulled to the side at least twice in his career on his path to success, while Trump has continued to fail upwards, straight into the White House.

Both have a dedicated base of supporters who no matter what, will stand by their side and propagate their greatness, and while that number may diminish over time, the impact on their ego will never go away.

Undefeated contender, Dominick Reyes, may (or may not) be the challenger to end Jones’ reign as king of the light heavyweights when they collide this Sat. night (Feb. 8, 2020) in Houston, Texas. That said, we saw in the champ’s last fight that he can be made human, and that if he doesn’t have total focus, he may be able to lose that complete and utter “god of destruction” shell and just be a lanky kid from Syracuse.

The same can be said for Trump heading into the 2020 General Election.

He’s been able to survive a Democratic Congress, constant and accurate attacks from his opponents, brazen violations of the legal system, and being impeached for God’s sake. But the continued exposure of that raw nerve, that drain on his ego, particularly when there are hungrier (and angrier people) chasing him up the mountain, Trump may just end up being that gawky kid from Jamaica, Queens.

Who the hell knows what will happen at UFC 247 this weekend in “The Lone Star State.” Similarly, not even the Magic 8-Ball can predict what will transpire in November, but the sun sets on everything (and everybody) and it’s sometimes when we least expect it.
