Jan Blachowicz: ‘I am next in line… and plan to knock out Jon Jones’
Jan Blachowicz’ first-round knockout over Corey Anderson in Saturday’s UFC on ESPN+ 25 main event may have secured him a title shot against champion Jon Jones. If you ask him, it definitely did.
During the event’s Post Show on ESPN+, Blachowicz stated emphatically, “I am next in line.” The 36-year old Polish fighter also said he plans to knock out Jones when they do fight. Hear what else Blachowicz had to say about Jones.
The victor at UFC Rio Rancho was a bit of redemption for Blachowicz, who lost his first match-up with Anderson in 2015. In winning on Saturday night, however, he may just have jumped the line to a title shot, as Anderson had been clamoring for his chance at the belt for the better part of the last year.
