Conor McGregor continues to make mark in boxing

Former UFC double-champ Conor McGregor continues to make big moves in the world of boxing.

No, he’s not stepping back into the ring with Floyd Mayweather Jr., though that hasn’t been fully ruled out just yet. McGregor instead has taken a leap with his Proper No. 12 Irish Whiskey.

Think it was a coincidence that Tyson Fury was seen showing off a bottle of Proper No. 12 in the lead-up to Saturday night’s rematch with Deontay Wilder? No way. That was planned.

That was only the lead-up, however.

McGregor and his team actually plunked down the money to be the main sponsor on the canvas for what is sure to be one of the biggest boxing pay-per-view events of 2020.

Proper No. 12 has also been seen as a sponsor in the UFC Octagon to which McGregor recently returned with a 40-second stoppage of Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone.

What’s next? Who knows. But for now, McGregor is basking in the glow of his beloved Irish Whiskey making massive moves in the world of spirits… and boxing.
