Rumors have sparked about a Conor McGregor vs. Justin Gaethje match-up targeted for this summer. If it happens, of course, the winner would be able to lay claim to a shot at the winner of the UFC 249 headliner between lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and challenger Tony Ferguson.
Gaethje manager Ali Abdelaziz has publicly commented saying that talks for the fight are not underway, but a manager’s public comments aren’t always the best indicator of the truth of the matter.
Whether the fight is or is not in negotiations, it’s one that people are clamoring for, including Gaethje, who has called McGregor out on numerous occasions.
