Sean O’Malley launches subscription video series ahead of UFC 248 return bout

Sean O’Malley is providing fans with an inside look at his preparation for his first UFC fight in more than two years – for a small fee.

O’Malley (10-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC), the popular UFC bantamweight prospect who was forced out of action for more than a year due to a complicated case with both the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency and Nevada State Athletic Commission, has finally been cleared and will fight Jose Quinonez (8-3 MMA, 5-2 UFC) at UFC 248 next month.

“Suga” has kept relatively quiet during his time off. However, he is pulling back the curtain as the days wind down to his comeback fight with his “The Road to UFC 248” series, which is being produced in conjunction with Taki, a platform described “for creators, athletes and celebrities to interact directly with their fans.”

“These Taki videos will give you the opportunity to see into how this fight camp has been going and the last couple weeks leading into my big return,” O’Malley said. “It will show where my weight is at, what I’m eating, what my schedule is looking like for the next few days and how I feel mentally getting back in the octagon. After my fight, I’ll break it down and go over it with you guys and answer your questions. Taki has been a great way to find out what you guys want to know and interact on a 1-on-1 basis with my fans. Looking forward to doing new and more creative things with Taki to interact with my fans.”

The current charge to sign up is $5, and, according to a release, fans will receive one video upon purchase, a new video each week and post-fight analysis, too.

An additional opportunity also exists for $225 fee, which, in addition the videos, will come with a pair of training gloves worn and signed by O’Malley.

UFC 248 takes place March 7 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. O’Malley vs. Quinonez is the featured prelim bout, which airs on ESPN prior to the pay-per-view main card.
