How judges scored Zhang Weili’s split decision win over Joanna Jedrzejczyk at UFC 248

By the time Zhang Weili and Joanna Jedrzejczyk completed 25 minutes of beating each other up at UFC 248, there was one question on everyone’s mind: How the heck will the judges score the fight?

Weili (21-1 MMA, 5-0 UFC) and Jedrzejczyk (16-4 MMA, 10-4 UFC) put on an all-time classic in Saturday night’s co-main event, with the champion retaining the strawweight title by split decision.

Each of the three judges – Mike Bell, Derek Cleary and Eric Colon – had it 38-38 heading into the fifth round, but none of them arrived to that conclusion the same way. The only score the judges did have in common was Round 3 as 10-9 for Jedrzejczyk.

UFC 248 took place at T-Mobile Arena and aired on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN and early prelims on UFC Fight Pass/ESPN+.
