Leon Edwards has long felt like the forgotten contender in Ultimate Fighting Championship’s (UFC) stacked welterweight division, despite the fact that he’s won eight straight fights over the likes of Donald Cerrone, Gunnar Nelson, and Rafael dos Anjos, among others.

And while you can’t blame him if he’s ever felt like UFC’s talented public relations department has never shown him love, this new promo from BT Sport focusing on “Rocky’s” rise to prominence is the type of shine he’s worked hard to get.

Edwards will look to punch his ticket to a potential title fight if he can defeat former division kingpin, Tyron Woodley, at the upcoming UFC Fight Night 171 event on March 21 inside The O2 Arena in London, England.

If he can score consecutive win number nine, Edwards should be able to sneak his way into the Top 3, which means he could be in line to face his old friend Jorge Masvidal, or Kamaru Usman, who are targeted to headline UFC 252 on July 11, 2020 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
