Watch That Hematoma Jiggle In Super-Slow Motion

“Watch it wiggle, see it jiggle…”

UFC 248 gave us fight of the year, and perhaps fight of the decade, courtesy of the “Adesanya vs. Romero” pay-per-view (PPV) event last Sat. night (March 7, 2020) on ESPN+ from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

I’m talking, of course, about Weili Zhang vs. Joanna Jedrzejczyk.

“Magnum” outlasted the former champion after five-rounds of insane, back-and-forth action. While both combatants were hospitalized after the event, it was Jedrzejczyk who sported the more visible damage, thanks to that humongous hematoma (see the pic here).

Watch it jiggle in the UFC 248 “Fight Motion” video embedded above.

“It’s one of the best fights I’ve ever seen, period,” UFC President, Dana White, told TSN. “Right when the fight got over, I heard that they threw 800 punches, 400 each, in that ballpark. Both women were incredibly durable, kept coming forward, both of them wanted to win that belt so bad. It was one of the greatest fights ever.”

Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) recently handed down its list of post-fight medical suspensions, which includes mandatory timeouts for both strawweight warriors (details here). It may take awhile for the promotion to green-light a rematch, but sooner or later we’re going to see this fight again.

Is it too early to get hyped?
