Hot Mic Catches Khabib-Ferguson Staredown Exchange

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is giving fight fans a new angle from the Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Tony Ferguson staredown, which took place at the UFC 249 pre-fight press conference earlier this month in Las Vegas, Nevada.

One of the benefits of the up-close-and-personal angle is the hot mic that comes with it, and now fans can hear what the reigning lightweight champion shouted at the former interim titleholder, both before and after kicking his “fake” belt to the curb.

Nurmagomedov: “Why you wear glasses? Take off your glasses! You fake like your belt!”

Ferguson: “He doesn’t fucking care about UFC! I fucking care! You’re a bitch Khabib!”

These two are expected to collide at the upcoming UFC 249 pay-per-view (PPV) event in April, though it’s unlikely to happen in Brooklyn, New York. Instead, the promotion will probably ship them overseas in response to the coronavirus outbreak.
