Video! Cro Cop Shows Off Striking One Year After Retirement

Legendary MMA fighter Mirko Cro Cop may be one year removed from his official retirement, but the former PRIDE World Grand Prix champion can still throw heavy hands.

Cro Cop, who walked away from the sport this time last year after suffering a stroke in the wake of his Bellator 216 win over Roy Nelson, certainly has no plans of returning to the sport he called home from 2001-2019. After all, any additional damage to the head could be fatal for the popular Croatian fighter.

That said, the 45-year-old knockout artist still has enough power in his hands to do serious damage. They may not be as sharp as they once were, but Cro Cop can still handle his own inside the gym. The veteran recently shared the above video via Instagram showing what he can still do.

“Keeping up the shape,” wrote Cro Cop.

For a retired fighter coming off a stroke and incapable of sustaining any additional damage to the head Cro Cop looks pretty damn good. He does leave his head open for counter shots during this session, but big heavy bags like that don’t hit back.

We may never get to see the former PRIDE star compete inside of the cage again, but at least Cro Cop was able to end his illustrious career on a 10-fight win streak, which includes stopovers in UFC, Bellator MMA, and RIZIN.
