The final fight of Paige VanZant’s current UFC contract was put on hold earlier this year after “12 Gauge” was forced to withdraw from her Brasilia bout against Amanda Ribas. Fortunately, Randa Markos was able to replace her inside the empty Nilson Nelson Gymnasium back on March 14 in Brazil.

But the arm injury that put VanZant on ice appears to be all patched up and ready to go, duding by her latest Instagram video. Sadly, her timing could not have been worse, as most of the world has been shut down by coronavirus.

“CAST IS OFF 100%!!!! LET’S FREAKING GO!!!! Training is in full effect (in my garage with my husband),” VanZant wrote. “First thing first, let’s heal the world, after that I’m coming to fight.”

VanZant (8-4) was last seen taking a submission victory over Rachael Ostovich at UFC Brooklyn roughly one year back and has struggled to stay consistent after her “stupid arm” failed to heal from an injury suffered back in 2018.

The 25 year-old “12 Gauge” is expected to make her return to strawweight.
