Conor McGregor sends timely message as he sharpens his hands during enforced hiatus

Former UFC champ-champ Conor McGregor has been one of MMA’s loudest voices during the COVID-19 coronavirus crisis, calling for his home nation to implement a complete lockdown. But that doesn’t mean he’s completely halted his training.

The Irishman, who has offered words of encouragement to fans on social media over recent days, is clearly doing his best to push a positive mental outlook during the current global pandemic, and jumped in front of his phone camera to give the fans a short action clip as he worked his hands and his head movement on a boxing bar at his gym.

McGregor’s video workout clearly wasn’t part of a more serious session – he was wearing a very expensive-looking watch at the time – but his message before setting to work on the apparatus was relevant to both himself and to everyone else out there as we all look to work our way through these tricky times.

“Focus on the task at hand,” he said.

Amen to that, Conor.
