Kunitskaya Announces Pregnancy With Thiago Santos

While Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is expected to resume its normal activity in a couple of months, Yana Kunitskaya might need a bit more time than that to get back into the swing of things.

That’s because she recently announced that she is expecting her first baby with none other than former UFC light heavyweight title contender, Thiago Santos. The power couple have been dating for some time now, and with a baby on the away, things just became a bit more official.

“A lot of people asking when is my next fight,” Yana wrote on Twitter. “I think I need to take some time off. Boy or girl,” read the caption accompanied by a photo of her first sonogram.

Kunitskaya hasn’t competed since losing to Aspen Ladd via knockout at UFC on ESPN 7 last December. Prior to that, “Foxy” was riding a two fight win streak with victories over Lina Lansberg and Marion Reneau.

Santos, meanwhile, hasn’t been able to compete since losing to light heavyweight champion, Jon Jones, at UFC 239 last July. Afterward, “Mareta” had to undergo extensive surgery after completely tearing his knee during the bout, sending him to the sidelines for an extended period of time.
