For everything that is said about Bellator MMA fighter Dillon Danis and his sometimes cringeworthy social media presence, the Conor McGregor team member is doing his past to help out with the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak.

Maybe Danis is trying to channel his inner “Notorious” during these difficult times, but the 26-year-old has put his controversial Twitter game aside to offer some assistance to those financially affected by the widespread coronavirus. In a recent message to his fans (shown below), Danis unveiled his plan to “send some cash” to a select few in need.

“I know a lot of people are struggling with not being able to go to work and are stuck in quarantine so gonna try to help the best i can! Comment your Venmo or cash app and I will pick some people who retweet this and send some cash,” wrote Danis via Twitter.

It will be hard to know if Danis actually goes through with it and sends his fans some much-need monetary assistance, but this is an incredible gesture. With unemployment rates at an all-time high and people across the world scrambling to adjust to their new everyday lives, it’s nice to see a fighter with a reputation like Danis step up and offer his own wealth to somebody else.

After all, when you run Bellator MMA you can do just about anything you want.

This wouldn’t be the first time Danis stepped out of his social media role to help out those in need. This past October, Danis responded to a viral video showing a young student getting beat up in a bathroom by a couple of his classmates. Danis not only reached out to the victim to offer his support, but he also scheduled a training session for the young kid to come in and learn some MMA moves.

Not too shabby for a fighter who gets barred from events due to brawling.
