Ex-UFC Owners Dish Out $1 million For Covid-19 Relief

Lorenzo and Frank Fertitta have reached deep in their pockets to donate a substantial sum to aide in the coronarivus relief efforts, dishing out $1 million to Nevada’s emergency response fund. That’s according to TV station KSNV (via MMA Junkie), who also revealed that the billionaire brothers would forego their salaries during the pandemic.

As it stands, there are 1,953 COVID-19 cases in Nevada.

“In this time of profound crisis, nothing is more important to us than the health and well being of our team members, guests and the entire Las Vegas community,” Station Casinos president Richard Haskins said.

“To that end, we are honored to provide this contribution to assist those serving on the front lines in the fight against COVID-19, and are deeply grateful for their tireless efforts to serve and protect all Nevadans in these unprecedented and difficult times.”

Owners of the highly-successful Station Casino’s in “Sin City,” Lorenza and Frank bought UFC in 2001 for just $2 million after some encouragement from Dana White. After building it up for nearly two decades, the brothers sold the company to WME-IMG for a whopping $4 billion. As a result, they each made out with $1 billion a piece.
