Currently, Jose Aldo is still the man set to face current Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) bantamweight champion, Henry Cejudo, at the upcoming UFC 250 pay-per-view (PPV) event on May 9. The event was set to go down in Sao Paulo, Brazil, but due to COVID-19, it will likely be moved to either Tachi Palace Resort Casino in California or Dana White’s fight island.

But should the Brazilian bomber not be able to make it out of Brazil, he has a few people read to take his place.

After Dominick Cruz threw his name in the hat to fill in and face “The Messenger,” former lightweight champion, Frankie Edgar, is now doing the same. “The Answer” took to social media to call out Cejudo, though he won’t be bending any the knee anytime soon.

“Hey Henry Cejudo, if Aldo can’t make it to the show you know I’m game. I ain’t bending any knees but I might put my foot in your ass,” Edgar wrote on Twitter. Not one to let a challenge be ignored, Cejudo fired right back.

“Well, well, well look who we have here! Frankie “The wrong answer” Edgar. The only foot that’s going up someone’s ass is my foot in yours,” said the former champ-champ. “You saw what I did to your training partner you could be next to Bend The Knee to King Triple C! You have competition Dominick Cruz.”

Indeed, “Triple C” knocked out Edgar’s training partner, Marlon Moraes, at UFC 238 to claim the vacant 135-pound title almost a year ago, which was the last time Henry stepped foot inside the Octagon. Since then, he was stripped of his flyweight title after undergoing shoulder surgery.

Should Aldo be forced to bow out, who would you rather see step in to fill the void: Cruz or Edgar?
