Pic! This UFC ‘Fight Island’ Poster Is Absolutely Incredible

The MMA world has fallen on tough times of late with the ongoing COVID-19 situation and subsequent UFC 249 cancellation, but there is light at the end of the tunnel.

After we play our part and help flatten the coronavirus curve with the rest of the world, UFC will be looking to return to action and put on some of the best fights imaginable. That’s because UFC president Dana White is in the middle of constructing an official “Fight Island” somewhere in the middle of the ocean, which hilariously resembles something out of a Bruce Lee movie.

Luckily, an event poster has already been made up for UFC “Fight island.” It may look like a throwback Coachella lineup card, but it’s simply incredible. Check it out beow courtesy of Twitter personality, Ariel Helvani, who has his own matchup on the Saturday portion of the UFC “Fight Island” card with arch nemesis and ESPN reporter, Ariel Helwani.

We know this is weird, but what else do we have to talk about?

All joking aside, there are some pretty good matchups on this three-day event. It seems a little dangerous to stage Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Tony Ferguson on Day 1 considering the matchup has failed to materialize five equally-disappointing times, but that would be one hell of a way to start the “Fight Island” festivities.

Fight fans also get to see two sets of trilogy fights on Day 2, as Stipe Miocic squares off with Daniel Cormier for the heavyweight title and Amanda Nunes defends her women’s bantamweight crown against flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Day 3 will showcase a rematch between UFC women’s strawweight queen Weili Zhang and Joanna Jedrzejczyk, the return of Anthony “Rumble” Johnson, and end with a lightweight matchup between Conor McGregor and Justin Gaethje.

Let’s just hope nobody really ends up getting fed to the sharks.

What say you, Maniacs? Would this three-day UFC “Fight Island” event be worth the recent chaos and postponements?

Sound off!
