Bellator Cheapskates Robbed Us Of MVP Vs Hammer

Bellator welterweight striking sensation Michael Page has crushed so many cans across his combat sports career that “Venom” was recently gifted a Lifetime Achievement Award from the British Recycling Association in Northampton.

The great thing about fighting inferior competition is that A) it makes you look great and B) it saves the promoter a boatload of money. That’s probably why former UFC rock ‘em-sock ‘em featherweight, Artem Lobov, priced himself out for Bellator London.

“When this happened I messaged [coach] John Kavanagh because he has a very close relationship with Bellator,” Lobov told told MMA Fighting’s Eurobash podcast. “I messaged him straightaway and said, ‘Tell them it’s one million and I’ll step in for one million.’ The fight was probably worth more than that, but I like Bellator so I thought I’d give them a little discount.”

Page was looking for a replacement after Derek Anderson withdrew from Bellator London and was forced to settle for regional combatant Giovanni Melillo. Not surprisingly, “MVP” laid waste to “The Punisher” in short order.

“I would love to fight MVP,” Lobov continued. “I know we’re in different weight classes, but I feel it’s a very winnable fight for me. I know his style and I have keys to beating him.”

Sounds to me like we need to settle this score in the bare-knuckle boxing arena.
